Punchmark hosted its third annual workshop for clients from all over the US for two days of educational seminars by the team and industry sponsors.
Our sponsors this year were The Edge, National Rarities, Jewel Craft, Ostbye, In the Loupe, Picup Media, and Simplex Diam. Each sponsor also gave a thirty-minute presentation about a topic they were an expert on, sharing their wealth of knowledge with the more than 35 Punchmark clients in attendance.
Michael Burpoe, Director of User Experience and Host of the In the Loupe podcast, vlogged his time at the Client Workshop. You can listen to his experiences below.
A highlight of the first day was the Meet Your Account Manager session, where clients were able to meet their Customer Success Team members in person to introduce themselves, ask questions, and build stronger relationships.
What has turned out to be a treasured yearly tradition is the Day 1 cocktail party at Fahrenheit rooftop bar, which boasts a spectacular view of the Charlotte skyline. Most incredible of all is that for the third year in a row we had perfect weather on the rooftop!
A big focus of both days is discussing marketing techniques and topics, with presentations from Hope Bellair, Digital Marketing Lead, and Stuart Blessman, Director of Digital Marketing on Meta & Google Shopping, Jewelry Store E-commerce Trends, Email Marketing, and how to set up your own 12 Month Marketing plan. The goal being to empower jewelers to do more marketing for their online presence and drive traffic to their store.
For the second year at the Workshop, Michael hosted a LIVE In the Loupe podcast recording in front of the attendees. This year was a Next Generation Retailer Roundtable with Alex Schlindwein from Kiefer Jewelers, and Caleb Falls from Falls Jewelers. They talked openly about how they’ve navigated working with their parents as they transition into the leadership roles, as well as what their own business philosophy is for working with jewelry vendors.

At the end of the second day, Punchmark’s leadership team sat down to talk about the roadmap for the rest of the year, and answered questions from the crowd. Ross Cockerham, CEO & Co-Founder, Daniel Sirois, CPO & Co-Founder, and Bryan Cockerham, CTO & Partner, discussed what they’ve been working on over the past 12 months, including AI driven content tools for both products and blogging, the new Digital Marketing plans available to all clients, as well as the developments that they are actively working on.
The final workshop session was capped by announcing the giveaway winner for the GemLightbox Pro, donated by Picup Media, which went to Wendy McGee from Jim Bartlett Fine Jewelers!
If you missed this year, the Punchmark Client Workshop will be happening again next year in Charlotte, NC at the end of April 2025. So mark your calendars, and get excited. We hope to see you there!
