Punchmark Welcomes Gasper Gray, New Customer Success Associate

In early September, Punchmark’s Customer Success team grew by one with the addition of Gasper Gray. Here is a short conversation to help you get acquainted with Gasper before you speak with him on the phone the next time you call.

Mike Burpoe: So Gasper, where does this message find you right now?
Gasper Gray: Currently behind my desk in Southern California.

MB: Southern California! *GASP*, but I thought Punchmark was based in Charlotte, NC?!
GG: Haha sure is. I have been looking to relocate for some time now, and Charlotte was on the top of my list in terms of new cities I wanted to live in. Since the company is remote right now, all it means is my shift is 3 hours earlier than everyone else's. But once things clear up I'm definitely looking forward to making my way to Charlotte.

MB: What background do you have and what brought you to Punchmark?
GG: I've been working in customer service for a long time, and for a couple years I have been doing freelance web development. Looking for a new job in the tech industry, Punchmark seemed like the perfect combination of those two worlds.

MB: Haha, definitely! Which Team are you a part of, and what will your responsibilities be??
GG: I'm on the Customer Success team which is essentially the bridge between technical issues and customer service. We are the customer-facing team that handles everything we can in terms of tech support, and if requests need to be escalated we hand them off to the appropriate team.

MB: CS is definitely the heartbeat for the company. You’ve only been at Punchmark for a few weeks, and remotely, but how has it been so far?
GG: It's my first time being a part of such a tight-knit team; I'm more used to being part of bigger, corporate companies. Everyone has been super welcoming and friendly and I'm enjoying being a part of the culture here. I'd love to finally be in the same building as everyone else, but I have been lucky to get plenty of guidance even remotely with everything I'd need to know as a new employee.

MB: That’s good to hear! You’ve been a great fit so far! What do you enjoy doing outside of work!
GG: Being a huge nerd, mainly. Playing and streaming video games, watching anime, doing martial arts, to name a few. And of course, continuing to expand my tech knowledge. I'm currently studying for my Network+ certification.

MB: No wonder you fit in well here, I feel like those are all activities other Punchmark members enjoy! Thanks for your time Gasper, can’t wait for you to move to Charlotte so we can hang!
GG: Same!

Bigger Sales

At the Punchmark offices, we like to celebrate our client’s wins. We have a running Slack channel that posts every time a client makes a new sale and lately it’s been super busy! Check out this $9,000 Rolex watch that sold this weekend!

Here are some trends we are noticing:

  • The number of DIFFERENT clients that are making online sales regularly is up!
  • The number of clients making their FIRST online sale these past few months is up!
  • Both the average cart size and product price has seen a significant increase is up!
  • The number of engagement rings sold online has increased dramatically as of late!

The number of online payments made through a financing service such as Sezzle, Affirm, or checked for fraud through ClearSale is up.

If all of this comes as a surprise to you and you find yourself thinking “But my website has yet to make a sale”, no worries! Sometimes you just need a few small changes that will really pay off, and our team of experts are standing by to help.
