Punchmark is very excited to announce the addition of Tuuli as our Summer intern! Tuuli will be assisting the Design Team as well as the Marketing Team in their efforts.
Sarah Weekes, Art Director, sat down with Tuuli to talk about her internship with Punchmark.
Sarah: Hello Tuuli! How are you today?
Tuuli: Good! How are you?
Sarah: I’m doing great, thanks! You’ve been at Punchmark for a week now, how has it been?
Tuuli: It has been fun! Everyone is very nice and I’m already learning so much.
Sarah: That’s awesome! It's not just a new job for you, but a new city. Where did you move to Charlotte from and what are your first impressions on the city?
Tuuli: I moved from Winston Salem, NC. I really like Charlotte so far, I definitely have a lot to explore this summer!
Sarah: Yes! There are so many great places to eat and drink here. I moved here in 2015 and still absolutely love it. What made you decide to major in Graphic Design?
Tuuli: I’ve always been very creative since I was little, and I’ve always been into painting, drawing, and anything artistic. I love that graphic design allows me to be creative while helping others.
Sarah: Yes, I totally agree. I love that we can put our creative minds to something useful and productive that actually helps people. What are you hoping to learn this summer as an intern at Punchmark?
Tuuli: I'm hoping to gain more experience, learn how to interact with real clients and learn more about what goes into website design and development.
Sarah: Interacting with real world clients is a great thing to learn! Outside of work, what sort of passions or hobbies do you have?
Tuuli: I like going to the gym, hanging out with my friends and going on walks with my dog.
Sarah: I'm also a dog person! I have 2 dogs at home that I'm obsessed with! Well, we are so glad you’re here and I hope this summer is awesome for you!
