Punchmark is very excited to announce the addition of Savannah to our design team! Savannah was our fall intern and we were very impressed, so we decided to offer her a junior designer position and she said yes!
Sarah Weekes, Art Director, sat down with Savannah to chat.
---------------------------------------------
Sarah Weekes: Hello! How are you doing today?
Savannah Kell: Hi! I’m good, how are you?
SW: Doing great, I'm listening to Christmas music and sitting by the tree! We are so excited to have you as a full time junior designer, this is your first job out of college correct?
SK: Love the Christmas spirit! Yes, this is my first job out of college, and I feel lucky that it has been such a good one.
SW: Aw, thank you! What were some of the reasons you chose to accept a position at Punchmark?
SK: I accepted for many reasons! I really enjoyed the work I was doing during my internship, and I love the workplace and felt I could learn and grow more with the people I was surrounded by.
SW: That's great to hear! What were some of your favorite projects or things you learned in the past 4 months?
SK: I really enjoyed working with Monarch, especially since it was one of my firsts and being able to see the process first hand was interesting. I also feel I have learned so much about the tools we use. Prior to my internship I had no experience with Adobe XD and now I use it all the time and feel confident on how to navigate it!
SW: That's wonderful! What is your current favorite trend in the design world?
SK: Oooh that is a hard question. I like the metallic liquid typography that has been floating around lately, it looks really cool.
SW: Yes, I agree! Okay, before we end, can you give the readers a song I should embed at the end of this blog post?
SK: One song I’ve been really interested in lately is "I Want Your Video" by Djo.
SW: Thanks! I'll have to give it a listen...
