The Punchmark Customer Success team continues to grow with the new addition of Jose Mavo, our newest Customer Success Associate. Jose will be the exclusive point of contact for roughly a fourth of our clients, and will assist with helping our clients become more comfortable with SiteManager and their website as a whole.
Michael Burpoe, Director of User Experience, spoke with Jose to learn more.

Michael Burpoe: Hello Jose! Where does this conversation reach you today?
Jose Mavo: Hello Mike! Happy to be here! I've been a resident of the Charlotte area for quite some time.
MB: Nice! I've gotten a chance to meet you a few times in the office. Always a treat now that we are a flexible hybrid. Which team are you a part of at Punchmark and what role?
JM: As a Technical Support Administrator, I'm part of the Customer Success team
MB:That's great! So you'll be under Jason & Nicole with Mana and Eryn. An all-star team! How do you like it so far?
JM: So far, it's been great! Everyone has a terrific sense of camaraderie and friendliness. A close-knit team is always fun to be a part of.
MB: Absolutely. They are great. You also are our first employee fluent in Spanish which is awesome. Maybe it's time we start expanding Punchmark to the rest of North America & Latin America!
JM: Maybe we should, JAJA! Because I was born in Venezuela and both of my parents are Venezuelan, Spanish had to be spoken at home. It was one of our house rules, and now that I'm older, I'm glad it was.
MB: I still carry a little resentment that my mother didn't speak any German in our house growing up. Knowing a second language seems like a real valuable tool.
Speaking of extra talents, Customer Success for a Technology company wasn't your first career path though, was it?
JM: Correct! I was a Professional Esports Athlete for 16 years. During my Esports career, I traveled across the United States, Mexico, Canada, England and France to compete. I won several championships in multiple Gears of War titles. I also represented many top-tier organizations, professional athletes and sponsors such as Envy, Echo Fox, Rise, GFuel, SCUF, HyperX and Monster.
MB: That is.... SO cool. As you know, I'm a huge Esports fan, and watch a variety of games. When I found out you had played for Envy I was definitely a little star struck.
JM: I noticed you were wearing a 100T sweater on the first day so I knew you were a gamer. Gaming unites everyone!
