The Punchmark team has grown by two, with the addition of Lorenzo Williams, new Customer Success Associate, and Diana Lasiewicz, new Administrative Assistant.
Lorenzo is a graduate of UNCC with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. He has a background in computer development as well as several years of customer service experience. He grew up in Pendleton, SC, and has been living in Charlotte, NC since 2016. He likes to stay busy with working on cars, messing with technology, or traveling the world.
Michael Burpoe sat down with Lorenzo to talk about Punchmark and his role.
MB: Hey Lorenzo! Where does this conversation find you?
LW: Hi! This conversation finds me doing some light HTML work for a client.
MB: Nice. Always fun, haha. You live in Charlotte right?
LW: I do! I have been here for about five years now.
MB: Essentially makes you a local! What’s your role at Punchmark?
LW: I am a part of the "customer success" team here at Punchmark. It is the first line of defense with issues that clients have either with their website or just in general.
MB: Really makes you have to be pretty versatile, since it covers so much! Do you find you are on the phone most or editing websites more?
LW: I really am loving this position for that exact reason. I want to be a Project Manager one day and this is excellent practice at learning all aspects of the business. I find that I am doing more editing of websites.
MB: That’s awesome that you already know where you want to end up! Very admirable.
Working in the jewelry industry is pretty unique, did you know much about jewelry before you started?
LW: I did not! The only thing I knew about jewelry were the 4 C's of diamonds. I came in very bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, but I have learned a lot so far!
MB: Anything stand out to you that you’ve learned? (not to put you on the spot)
LW: I have learned that the jewelry business is a very lucrative business that could (and has) actually benefit a great deal from e-commerce. I never knew that the jewelry business was so new to e-commerce.
MB: Trueee. It's an ongoing shift that happened very slowly for a while and then very quick.

Diana Lasiewicz holds a Bachelor’s in Housing and Environmental Design from Illinois State University and is the Administrative Assistant for the Punchmark Team. She spent most of her career fine-tuning her skills in account management, inside sales and support, customer service, logistics, and event coordination. Diana resides in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband and three kids. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends and loves the outdoors and music. Her happy place is anywhere by the water and sunshine! Her two favorite quotes are: “The glass is half full” and “When in doubt, just dance.”

MB: Good morning Diana! Where does this conversation find you?
DL: Good morning, Michael. Happy Monday. I'm sitting in my home office drinking coffee out of my new Punchmark mug.
MB: Ooooh fancy! I love those mugs. How has your first 2 weeks been at Punchmark?
DL: My first 2 weeks have been great. Since day one, the entire team has made me feel welcome.
MB: What is your role at Punchmark?
DL: I'm the Administrative Assistant for the team.
MB: and what does your job generally entail?
DL: Well, it entails a little bit of everything. I support various people and departments. You could say, I wear many hats to handle the administrative 'busy work' so that you all can do what you do best.
MB: That’s awesome! And hopefully will free up the bosses. Outside of work, what sort of things do you enjoy doing?
DL: I love to spend time outdoors, hang with my family and friends, host parties, whether it's the holidays or just a last minute get together -listen to music, travel (looking forward to starting many of these things up again),
MB: Same! I cannot wait until we are able to all spend time together again. That human connection is so important.
DL: Yes it is!!!
