Punchmark is very excited to announce the hiring of Kimberly Bottoms, who will join Punchmark as the new Vendor Liaison. Gabby Simpson has moved to the Development team as a Junior Developer, though she will be the primary developer for the Vendor Program going forward.
Kimberly holds a Bachelor's from UNC-Greensboro and a Masters from Appalachian State University both in Business Management, and is responsible for the Vendor program at Punchmark. She built a career in data analytics and reporting in a variety of industries including corporate retail, consumer packaged goods, e-commerce, data software, and food brokerage. Her favorite places are the beach and mountains and loves making memories with her family and close friends.
Michael Burpoe, Director of User Experience at Punchmark, spoke with Kimberly to learn more.

Michael Burpoe: Hello Kimberly! How are you today?
Kimberly Bottoms: I'm great thank you!
MB: You've been at Punchmark for a week already, how has it been so far?
KB: Honestly, it's been amazing. I've been welcomed with open arms and I can already tell that Punchmark is a family unit! My first week consisted of viewing the first ever Punchmark Workshop and it allowed me to jump right in to the jewelry industry. I couldn't have asked for a better welcoming committee!
MB: Talk about throwing you into the deep end! It was awesome you got to meet some clients and the entire team in person so early. Was a lot of fun! Especially going to a rooftop bar for a cocktail hour.
KB: I completely agree! I've never formed relationships so quickly in my career. It makes me extremely excited about what is to come.
MB: So you will be Punchmark's new Vendor Liaison. You'll be the point of contact for all Vendors as we improve and overhaul the program. But this isn't your first time "liaisoning" with vendors though is it?
KB: Yes, my role will be collaborating with vendors here at Punchmark and I love forming these connections and building relationships with the vendor community. No, this is not my first rodeo working with the vendor community. I've held numerous positions where I've hosted consensus meetings with vendors and creating mutual gain through collaboration. I've also trained and assisted vendors with on-boarding processes in my previous roles. I'm excited to get to know Punchmark's community and to build a strong program around all involved parties.
MB: Wow thats really exciting! Yeah the Vendor Program has a lot of possibilities with it! I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Outside of work, what sort of interests do you have?
KB: I love being outdoors at either the beach or mountains where I feel close to nature and the world's wonders. Glamping has become one of my favorite hobbies and I love spending time with my family and close friends to create memories that will last a lifetime. You never know what tomorrow brings, so live for today and make the most of every moment!
MB: I love it!! Can you define the difference between Glamping and Camping for those that don't know?
KB: Glamping provides being close to nature, but with some modern luxuries for those that do not want to take the traditional tent route. I love nature, but do prefer to be protected from the elements and have some luxuries to embrace.
MB: Understandable!
Well, thank you so much for your time Kimberly! I can't wait to work with you more in the future!!
KB: Thanks Michael! I am so excited that this journey has begun and look forward to the future!
