Download Example CSV FileEach product must have a unique style number, or SKU. If left blank, your image name will be used to generate your SKU, without the extension. Your SKU can also be used to help you add product variations, and have alternate versions of each product.
Without an image, your product won't be imported into the database. You can always upload images in bulk, then import your CSV at a later date, but we suggest importing your CSV file before you add images. Please make sure this field only represents the file name, and not the entire URL. In the advanced CSV template, you can import up to 4 additional image paths.
This is a required field, and it represents the type of jewelry that you are importing. Be sure to give it a singular value, such as pendant or bracelet, and make sure you spell it correctly in the CSV file, or it won't be properly categorized. The following basic jewelry types are as follows: ring, pendant, necklace, earrings, bracelet, watch, pin, cufflinks, clock, bead, charm, handbag, dinner ware, knife, pen, crystal, keychain, other, set, anklet, tie bar, money clip, tie tack, collar clip, shirt stud, divot tool, collar stay, card case, bail, placeholder, jewelry box, loose, loose, gold dipped, jewelry cleaner, clasp, ornament, locket, ring insert, ring enhancer, gift certificate, rattle, or piggy bank. If your jewelry type isn't spelled correctly, or if left blank, it will automatically be classified as other. To request additional jewelry types be added to the master list, please contact Punchmark.
By adding an item title that accurately represents your jewelry, you can affect the way customers find your products. The Item Title field is not required, but since it will already have a jewelry type associated with it, your item title can be generated if you leave it blank. A common way to create titles is to include the metal type and jewelry type, and then one more characteristic, such as diamonds or gemstones. For example, it could be as simple as Gold Bracelet or as complex as 18K Yellow Gold Diamond & Amethyst Bracelet. If your title starts to exceed 25 characters, you may want to just leave it short and handle the rest with the description.
The description helps consumers feel confident about buying the item, so the more information you enter, the higher the probability of it being found in search engines, and therefore the better chances of it selling online or in the store. It can be as simple as gold pendant with 1.00ct tw diamonds or you could elaborate and say 14K white gold pendant with 1.00ct tw channel set diamonds surrounding a 1.25ct amethyst in the center. 16" rope chain included, with lobster clasp. Matching earrings available. This field is used to generate this product's meta description.
This field is used for suppliers who have several jewelry lines or brands they represent. If you have multiple brands, you must include the brand in your CSV file, in order to grant access to each brand to specific retailers. If you only have one brand, then you do not need to include this field.
This is only for retailers. If the retailer has associated a specific markup for all your products, then your cost can be used as a multiplier to generate a retail price on the front end of their website. By providing a cost, you can also automate your pricing by using the live price of gold. Contact us if you are interested in more information about product automation.
By including this field, you can provide your authorized retailers with an essential ingredient of selling your products on their websites. Many retailers don't have time to price everything, but if you keep this field updated every month, you can manage how they are presented on hundreds of retailer websites at once. You can also set your account to automate your pricing, and never have to set your retail prices again!
You can import today's price of gold in order to automate your pricing.
This field helps give your retailers a starting point, and makes it easy so they don't have to look up all your prices. You can use your cost in conjunction with your suggested markup to generate this for your authorized retailers, especially if you don't automate your pricing.
