Who I Am :: Personality and Interests
I'm a country boy, but I owe a lot to being one. That old backyard gave me an imagination and a sense of humor. It also turned me into an explorer, and even though it meant pretending to be a knight, the philosophy remains the same: if it's been done before, why do it? Growing up in the country exposed me to: snowboarding when the temperature drops; digging up and collecting antique bottles when the ground becomes soft again, and summers that are so stunning you wish you could put them into words. Needless to say I'm trying, but its hard to find time to write.
What I do :: Skills and Expertise
Concepting, problem solving and visualization. I'm often sought out purely to explore the gamut of possible solutions for a given project. As I kid, I drew cartoons, scenes of fantasy and played the piano. That evolved into the training in and practicing of graphic design and communications at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I learned as well as loved to mix everything from fine arts to print design to interactive and motion graphics; putting a clear message with beautiful visuals is my approach.
How I Think :: Inspirations and Aspirations
Motion pictures, storytelling and entertainment have always played a dominant role in my thinking and in my work. I see only in visuals and love to tell a good story, something that has guided me into my next fixation: video and animation. I take a socio-philoshophical approach to life: observe all, piece it together, then question it.
