This collection of promotional materials was designed to inspire interest in the popular opera titled Jenůfa, written by playwright Leos Janacek some time around the year 1900. The illustration represents the small industrial town in which this dark story takes place, and the buildings were drawn to resemble faces. This design is applied to all posters, tickets, and musical CDs from the opera, which were displayed and distributed to visitors at a small theater in upstate New York.
